This attractive candlestick was turned from wood that came from a coppiced holly tree near Beaulieu aerodrome.

Holly is a very tight grain wood and can often be seen in inlay work in fine furniture. Many forest people use holly for walking sticks  because of its strength and sturdiness.

As with all tealight candles, please do not leave unattended if lit.
