This is an unusual mulberry vase, turned from a fallen branch of a tree that was storm damaged in Salisbury. I was told the tree was 400 years old and I believe is still standing.
The feature in the side is from the edge of the log, which is highlighted in a lighter wood, the darker wood is the heart wood of the tree which will get darker with time.
The Vase is approximately 12.5cm in diameter and stands at 28.5cm in height.
Not suitable for water but a dried flower arrangement will be fine
